GO Transit - Kitchener Line - Interior

December 18, 2011. Interior of second train from Guelph Central GO Station to Kitchener GO Station. This style of bi-level commuter train was designed by Bombardier Transportation for GO (Government of Ontario) Transit in the 1970s, and is widely used in metropolitan areas throughout North America. The cars are actually tri-level if you include the passenger space available on the split-level approach to the upper deck at the ends of each car.

GO Transit's New Kitchener Line Starts Monday

On Monday, December 19, 2011, the Georgetown GO Train will be extended to Kitchener. There will be new stops at Guelph Central and Kitchener, with stops in Acton and Breslau to open sometime in 2012. The new route will be known as the Kitchener Line. For the new schedule, follow this link: GO Kitchener Schedule. I will be riding the rails on opening day and I encourage transit enthusiasts in the area to do the same if possible. *Please note, on Sunday, December 18, 2011, there will be free GO Train service between Kitchener and Guelph Central to celebrate the opening of the new Kitchener Line.
