2004 was the 100th anniversary year for the New York City Subway.
December 18, 2011. Interior of second train from Guelph Central GO Station to Kitchener GO Station. This style of bi-level commuter train was designed by Bombardier Transportation for GO (Government of Ontario) Transit in the 1970s, and is widely used in metropolitan areas throughout North America. The cars are actually tri-level if you include the passenger space available on the split-level approach to the upper deck at the ends of each car.
The inaugural GO Transit Passenger Train approaching the Kitchener GO Station/VIA Rail Station. This is the first of two free trains from Kitchener to Guelph on Sunday, December 18, 2011. The train was supposed to arrive at 1:00pm but it was closer to 1:30 when it rolled into the station to meet a platform packed with people.
