This GO Train is out of service after two round trips from Kitchener to Guelph. The train is approaching the layover track west of King Street in Kitchener, Ontario. December 18, 2011.

GO Transit - Kitchener Line - Interior

This style of bi-level commuter train was designed by Bombardier Transportation for GO (Government of Ontario) Transit in the 1970s, and is widely used in metropolitan areas throughout North America. The cars are actually tri-level if you include the passenger space available on the split-level approach to the upper deck at the ends of each car.

GO Transit - Kitchener - Inaugural Passenger Run

The inaugural GO Transit Passenger Train approaching the Kitchener GO Station/VIA Rail Station. This is the first of two free trains from Kitchener to Guelph on Sunday, December 18, 2011. The train was supposed to arrive at 1:00pm but it was closer to 1:30 when it rolled into the station to meet a platform packed with people.
